September 2022

Shalom Precious Friends and Lovers of The Truth,

We want to start off by saying that in ALL our ways we acknowledge Him, and He does direct our paths (Proverbs 3:6). There are many paths and many roads to choose each day, however, on this day we ask you to choose life so that you and your household may live as quoted from Deuteronomy 30:19. May these words be for you as sweet as the honeycomb!

Speaking of sweetness, in Israel and all over the world our Jewish people are celebrating Rosh HaShanah, otherwise known as The Feast of Trumpets. It is also the head of the Jewish New Year and traditional to eat apples dipped in honey, and that is very tasty indeed! We remember that we were once slaves living in bitterness, but now, thanks to God, we are living in the sweetness of our deliverance from Egypt as well as from our sinful lives that Yeshua took upon himself so that we can have eternal life. Please take a moment now and say a prayer for the salvation of our Jewish people. As Abundant Bread of Salvation does its sacrificial work, our people will know how much they are loved by our Father in Heaven. It says, in Joel 2:1, “Blow the Trumpet in Zion, sound the alarm on my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble for the day of the Lord is coming, it is near.” Halleluyah! Don’t we feel this now more than ever before? There is an incredible urgency in the air here in Israel and we must continue serving Him and making Him known to our Jewish people wherever they are. Arise O’Lord and may our enemies be scattered!  We wish you all a sweet and happy Jewish New Year and may your names be inscribed in the Lamb's Book of Life.

We are extremely excited that the work and Food Bag Distribution program continues weekly for the over 400 poor and needy people we are serving every month. We thank you so much for your prayers and provision for this as our Jewish people are needing these essentials like never before. Inflation of prices has risen in every sector. PLEASE, will you help with the cost of this essential food provision that costs roughly $10,000 U.S. dollars each month. One of our many activities that blesses our Holocaust survivors, single mothers, and widows is what we call Korean Haircuts. A few months ago, our precious believers in Yeshua (Korean friends in Jerusalem) returned to us, coming every month to not only make our people look and feel beautiful with a free haircut, but also to offer prayer. Several times they have come with a pastor who makes fresh ground coffee as well as handmade Korean Delight Doe Treats in the shape of a fish and filled with cooked lentils. They leave our facility absolutely blessed, filled, looking beautiful, and, most importantly, loved on and prayed for in Yeshua’s name. We love these faithful Korean servants who selflessly pour themselves out to our poor and needy Israeli people. Please keep them all in your prayers.

Another exciting answer to prayer has been a flood of requests from believer groups and individual volunteers from the nations wanting to come and volunteer with Abundant Bread in Israel. So, even this month, as I write, we have over three groups coming from the USA, Germany, and Romania to do special events, soup kitchens, and Royalty meals to bless our people above and beyond their basic needs, in Yeshua’s name. Praise Adonai!

Do you DESIRE to volunteer? Send an email to valery@abundantbread.com to request info and a volunteer application.

Check out these below pictures of our most recent Royalty Meal with our precious German brethren in Yeshua.

They were an amazing blessing to our Holocaust survivors.

As we close this praise and prayer report, we are excited to announce that this month, we also conducted our annual Abundant Bread of Salvation Board Members (there are seven of us) meeting to hear the verbal report as well as the financial reports from our attorney and our accountant. I will say this in all humility; not only were the board members blessed to receive the amazing review, but they were also so excited about the accountability and use of the funds raised to help our people in the most practical and creative ways and how we share the Gospel, bringing glory and honor to our King and Messiah Yeshua! We have such an amazing Board of Directors and cannot do this without them as well as your prayers and support. Glory to God in the highest!

Recommendation from all of our board members is to please continue supporting the good Kingdom work of Abundant Bread of Salvation with your greatest sacrificial gift possible. Please click HERE to do this and pray.

Blessings in the name of our Messiah and Redeemer, who abundantly provides and pours out to all who trust in His name!
