Newsletter January 2017

"WE REMEMBER"
IMPORTANT ADDITION TO BELOW NEWSLETTER:
Today, is International Holocaust Remembrance Day.  I just got off the phone with Nachum, the main leader of the Netanya Branch of Holocaust Survivors, the biggest branch in Israel.  I told him how much we love him and his people and that not only will we
NEVER FORGET, but that WE ARE COMMITTED, to practically support and assist them in every way possible in this new year. Help us to remind EVERYONE to remember, by taking a picture of yourself holding a sign with the words, "WE REMEMBER" and posting it on ours and your Facebook Page, Twitter and/or Instagram.

January 2017
Shalom Dear Partner in Messiah,

Happy New Year 2017!  What a Mighty God we serve!  We praise Him for bringing us THROUGH, 2016 with many trials, fires, and heart-breaking challenges.  We are commanded to praise Him and love Him first, even in the most difficult of circumstances, so this, we will do at Abundant Bread of Salvation.  As we press forward in this New Year, we will continue to shine His love and light through every physical act of kindness, prayer, hug, and even hold the hands and cry with the hundreds of needy people that walk through our doors.
Without your prayers and support, these precious people would never have the hope that we provide for them in our facility with basic food, clothes, and the eternal love of God.
In the Book of Revelation 12:11 it says, "And they have conquered him, (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives, even unto death".
We all know that birth and death are a natural part of life and both are typically painful. Sometimes the pain is bittersweet and sometimes it brings great rejoicing.  Recently, we experienced both of these.  I will share two stories that are a direct result of the work of Abundant Bread of Salvation.
The first story is about a young Israeli woman.  A couple of years ago she somehow found our phone number and called us in the middle of the night asking if it would be possible to rescue her out of a home that she was taken prisoner as a sex slave.  Long story short, the impossible became possible with lots of prayer, wisdom and the help of God.  That same week, we met with her in a coffee shop, shared the Good News with her and she accepted her Messiah as Lord.  Recently, however, we received another phone call about her.  With this phone call we were sadly told that she was found dead of an unknown cause in her home and the funeral was going to be the next day and they requested our presence if possible.  I was able to attend the funeral and everyone asked from where I knew her.  I was able to share about the great spiritual encouragement I was able to be to her and was also able to pray words of comfort over her mother and father at her memorial.  We thank God for her eternal salvation and the ability to bring light into the darkness.  We dedicate this prayer letter of new beginnings to the memory of Anabella.  CLICK HERE, to help give your support, so that we can help others like Anabella.  Sadly, there are many more like her.
The second story, although quite different, is about a Russian elderly man who is over 90 years old.  He is the leader of the Belorussian group that we practically serve and bless, over 100 of his people.  This man is very active, strong-willed and an aggressive personality; not always easy to deal with  We know HOWEVER, that no one is impossible for God to reach.  I once was one of those people myself.  Recently, one of our Russian Jewish believer volunteers asked him if he would like a home visit.  To our surprise, he welcomed the visit, he heard the Good News and accepted Messiah into his ripe, old-aged heart. Halleluyah!  Our volunteer reported to me that on his own initiative, he continued to read God's Word for the next couple hours and was rejoicing to know that he now has eternal Life.  My friends, what a way to start off the New Year, with new hearts, eternal life and rejoicing, even in the midst of the storms.  It's these stories that make what we do ALL,worth it!
Since writing this newsletter, the women below, who is his girl friend has also excepted Messiah into her heart as well at a local Bible study that we sponsor.   Halleluyah!!
I don't know about you, but our team is more motivated than ever to proclaim the Good News and practically see even more lives changed as we continue our soup kitchen and distribution center activities to over 500 poor and needy people every month.  Our Holocaust survivors are dying daily.  The set time is now, to comfort our people.
Thank you again for your continued prayers, financial support and volunteerism in 2017.
