Making A Difference In Israel

Partnering with Blessing Israeli Believers

September 2024

"For I was hungry...

...and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me…” (Matthew 25:35-39). September is a busy month for our weekly ministry to our beautiful Holocaust survivors coupled with the ongoing needs of our brave IDF soldiers and of the Jewish communities here in Israel that you so graciously support. As war continues to rage here in the Land, we need your support more than ever! We press on, thank God!

For the last 6 or 7 years, we have been giving suitcases to the senior high school girls at the Jewish Orthodox orphanage in Netanya as they turn 18 and have to now move out of the facility. We want to be a blessing to these young ladies as they make their transition to either serving in the army or into the surrounding community service. This year, I was privileged to also be able to attend the junior high school girl’s ceremony, bringing a prayer under my breath and the joy of Yeshua on my countenance into this ultra-orthodox facility. Such an honor to serve these precious children! In fact, I got a call from the manager of the orphanage, Bracha, expressing how excited these girls were to receive the suitcases!

At the beginning of each school year, Abundant Bread of Salvation gets a call to sponsor the purchase and distribution of towels and bed sets, which is something that your donations are used for and they are vital to this aspect of what we do. May I challenge you to come to Israel as “boots on the ground” to help with the distribution of these types of items throughout the year? Your presence here is always welcome and we know you will reap the rewards for serving the most vulnerable! Can you imagine yourself taking a tour of an orphanage that you help to sponsor, doing a prayer walk around the grounds and meeting these children?

Every week at our soup kitchen, my wife prepares an elegant 5-star meal for the poor among us. It was very exciting to see two people come to faith in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus)! One soup kitchen outreach really stood out when we invited a group from Russia and Ukraine. People from various professional backgrounds came for an amazing meal, and we discovered that some are even doctors who have been forced to start their lives again from scratch! They were so appreciative to ABOS for the practical love shown to them, which opened their hearts to hear about the love of God! We were able to encourage them in their new life here in the Land promised and given to them as an inheritance! I can testify that they left that day with smiles on their faces, thanks to your generosity!

Please continue to pray for all the displaced families here, about 70,000 kids, grandkids and elderly people, including Holocaust survivors, both from the north of Israel near the border of Lebanon and also from the southern borders near Gaza, the majority of whom have been living in hotels for eleven months now! As you can imagine, they miss their homes and feel forgotten by the rest of the world.

Pictured above: Visiting with Manya-(Holocaust survivor), shortly after the passing of her husband Moshe into glory. Please continue to pray for her.

Please also pray for Manya, who is a recently widowed Holocaust survivor and Board member of the local and national Holocaust survivor organization. We had the privilege of attending her husband’s funeral and were able to hold her hand and listen to her stories through tears as she told us about her precious Moshe. We did our best to comfort and pray for her and the entire family as well. Glory to His name! THE GREATEST NEWS! We had prayed for Moshe to except yeshua in his heart almost a couple years ago. God is SO good all the time!
