Shalom Victorious One in Messiah Yeshua,
Abundant
Bread of Salvation is
fighting
poverty daily in Israel.
However, due to the
Coronavirus pandemic, emergency regulations are being announced daily by
Israeli officials and our elderly are restricted from leaving their homes to
get food.
Why is this
Resurrection Passover season different from all other seasons? The
Coronavirus is making it extremely challenging to celebrate. We
are happy to proclaim that death has been defeated through the blood of
Yeshua. He has risen indeed!
This virus has caused a
huge surge of needs amongst our poor and needy and the Holocaust survivors
closed in their apartments as well as the over one million Israeli
citizens and disadvantaged that recently became unemployed because of the
pandemic. Netanya Municipality has recently implored Abundant Bread of
Salvation to expand our food delivery program as every day we are receiving
more requests for free food package deliveries. Our survivors are stuck at
home with fear of the virus looming over their heads. It was never easy
for them to buy food and now it is impossible for them to go out freely. They
really feel hopeless when they call me on the phone. Several times, when they
call, they say "please do not forget about us." Praise
Adonai, we are also able to share with them the eternal and redeeming
love of Yeshua (Jesus) which is the greatest gift! In 2 Chronicles
7:13-14, God tells Solomon what he and the people of Israel are to do should
He ever release a plague or other calamity upon the land. Dear ones, Israelis
are looking to the Bible over their Coronavirus concerns. Halleluyah!
Holocaust
Memorial Day (Yom HaShoah) and the Coronavirus.
By the time you receive
this report, our Survivors will have had to be honored from a lonely
distance in their own homes with no gatherings for memorials or candle
lighting. Please remember them in your prayers and financial support
through the work of our hands and feet as we practically and spiritually
reach out on the front lines in our car, going from door to door to over 400
(and growing) of the most poor and needy in Israel. We thank God for the
many believer volunteers as well as ones that have not yet come to faith, for
their hearts to stand with us during this massive outreach. Please see the
many pictures and video clips on our website of these special and challenging
times of distribution: www.abundantbread.com
Although, Israel and the
world are being faced with challenging times, the Jewish people know and
value life as a gift. This month, Israel will celebrate its 72nd
year of sovereignty with its Independence Day celebrations. Each citizen
will celebrate in their own home however, and it will only be after a special
memorial day of remembrance (Yom HaZikaron), of all of Israel's military as
well as citizens who have lost their lives due to our wars, enemy
infiltration and terrorists throughout history. Israel's birth happened
just as the prophet proclaimed in Isaiah 66:8, "Can a country
be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment?" Praise
Adonai! We live in very exciting times of the Messiah's imminent return!
We know that Israel is not
alone in suffering from this pandemic, so in closing, we want to
encourage you all to be filled with faith and not fear as we go forward.
We must care as best as we
can for our communities and families as well as our own lives. Our prayer and
belief is that this trial will be used for His eternal purposes in our
lives, the lives of the poor and needy and the nations.
Psalm 10:17 says, "You,
Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted, you encourage them and you listen to
their cry."
Lastly in Deuteronomy 31:6
it says, "Be strong and courageous, do not fear because He
will never leave you or forsake you."
Our only hope
is in Him!

support during these times.
